Atlanta Ga.
This was the third certification that I have received. I will say that this certification was the hardest Comptia certification for me to get. I suggest that people get the A+, then the Net+, and then the Security + certification. I say this because the A+ certification will give you ground level understanding of how computing devices work. Once you have an understanding of how these devices work the Net+ will explain how these devices communicate with each other. Once you understand how these devices communicate with each other you can start studying for the Security + exam. This exam will give you the knowledge and skill set to be able to secure these devices. It is very important to understand what type of cyber attacks are out there and how to defend them. As computing networks expand with more computers as well as numerous IOT devices it has become more of a task to secure these devices. Obtaining this certification will show hiring companies that you have the knowledge and understanding of various cyber attacks and how to mitigate them.
With the Security + certification under your belt you will be suited for positions with companies with the job titles such as Security Engineer, Security Analyst, and Cyber Security Admin.
The Security + is the third Comptia certification that I have obtained and I must say that it was the hardest one. This test covers a lot of material so you have to be sure to cover your basis. I barely passed this test with a score that was just enough to get me by. I was excited to get this certification under my belt because it made me more marketable in the job market.
